There’s a brand new addition to our in-house culinary team: Come through Larder to meet our new Pastry Chef, Stephane Leopoldo, and sample his specialty dish.

At age 14, Chef Leopoldo began his career as a pastry apprentice in Paris. Just two years later, he was awarded the honor of “Best Apprentice of the Year” by the city. Chef Leopoldo developed his skills in famed pastry shops throughout Paris — from Boulangerie Julien to Patisserie Joubert — before coming stateside to consult for The Culinary Institute of America in New York. Prior to joining us at Hotel Emma, his local tenure in San Antonio included stints as the Bakery Manager for Central Market, Executive Pastry Chef at The Argyle, and most recently, as Sous Pastry Chef at La Cantera Resort & Spa.
